Recruit/Retain Good Employees
Recruiting and retaining good employees seems to be a popular subject these days. One would think it is difficult to attract and keep a good employee. But I wonder if it really is?
Let’s think about it for just a minute. So why do people work for their employer? If asked, I am sure that there would be about as many answers as people asked. What I’ve learned over the years is that people work for people not companies. A great leader, manager or supervisor attracts and retains good employees. They are the ones who create the culture that others want to join.
What’s an ideal employee profile look like for your company? Actually, have you envisioned the perfect employee for your company yet? What are the attributes that you would be looking for in a potential employee to make sure they would be a good addition?
Take a hard look at your own company. What attributes of your company would attract your ideal employee? Does your company need to be modified to match your own expectations? To attract the best you need to be the best.
